Greetings from beautiful Guadalajara!
I'm about to embark on a "career" teaching English to young Mexicans and it's pretty exciting for me. I took a one month certification course here in February and it was very intense as I tried to remember grammar lessons from boarding school in Australia fifty years ago! As the cobwebs started to clear, the whole process became very enjoyable and I knew I was on the right track for my final employment push. My objective is to teach here in Guadalajara until I'm 75, so, ten or eleven years. Then I'll be pretty old. I love it, though. The kids (12 to 22) are awesome and it's such a kick! I interview for my "dream" job next week so wish me luck, O.K.
I decided to go back to writing on this blog for a variety of reasons. The main one is that I actually have access to the tools and maybe I can even post some photographs. We'll see. If nobody ever reads it at least I'm writing again and keeping up with my story. Fun for me, anyway! For anyone who does read it, enjoy!
